Visiting Family

So for the past week I have been in FL visiting my mom and sister's. I haven't been down there since Christmas so it was nice to get down there. I was able to spend some quality time with my twin sisters who are 7 and my mom was able to spend some time with my son who she doesn't get to see that much! Here are some pics from our trip! =)

I wanna Move!! =)

So my husband and I are in Greenville, SC for a few days for a recruiting training conference. My wonderful sister and mother in-law are taking turns keeping my son. Well I had never been here before so I didn't know what to expect. My husband and I met at Atlanta Bread Company for lunch and I knew there were a few shops downtown so I figured I would do a little shopping while he finished his last few meetings. I had NO IDEA what I was going to stumble across! WOW! This city is SO cute and peaceful. The streets are lined with beautiful trees and wide sidewalks that had places to sit every few feet to sit and relax. Not to mention free Wi-Fi all downtown! I wish I would have known this before I payed $10 for 1 day of internet at the hotel. I would have much rather walked a few blocks and sat there enjoying the town on my laptop then be in my hotel room on the computer. There are also tons of little coffee shops and local boutiques. I found the coolest Vintage clothing shop that had the neatest t-shirts and jewlrey. I just walking and walking. I kept seeing signs for Falls Park so I wanted to see what it was. When I got there I couldn't believe what I saw. There was a waterfall, right in the middle of the city with a bridge that went right infront of it with a perfet view. There were park benches and swings surronding the park. I just wanted to sitdown with a good book and stay all day. Well I wish I would have known all of this before I left my room b/c I didn't bring my SLR camera, but luckly I always have my point & shoot camera in my purse so I took a few pics!

Fall is here!

So this past week my husband and I decided it was time to go take Breyden to the pumpkin patch! We knew he would really enjoy it. Once he gets outside there is nothing you can do to get the boys attention. He LOVES every minute of being outside. We asked our parents to tag a long and go with us. Here is some pics from our trip!

So Sweet

So the newborn shoot I did last week that I didn't like I was able to redo this weekend. Kadence the baby was so precious and Mackenzie the older girl just as beautiful. Ashley their mother came ready for a few pictures as well, so I was able to capture some shoots of all 3 girls. I had the best time with them and look forward to doing more shoots (hopefully) soon! =) Here are a few pics from this weekend!

Hmmm...

So Yesterday I did my first newborn shoot. I loved it! It was so much fun working with a little baby. I also took pics of her big sis who is 5. She was beautiful and full of energy! I did the shoot in their home to make it more comfortable for everyone. I get there and there isn't much natural light in their home and that is the BEST thing to shoot indoors with. I really didn't want to use my flash so I tried really hard to pick up as much light as possible. It just wasn't working. I raised my ISO, I tried lowering my shutter speed but that made for blurry grainy pictures! UGHHHH!! I was so frustrated when I came home and uploaded them. I felt sick! I did get a few good ones, but not enough to make me happy!! I e-mailed the women and explained my situation. I will hopefully be doing a few more photos for her sometime this week. I just know I can do better then that. Here are a few of the good ones I got.Snuggles by you.

A Step in the Right direction...

So tonight I met up with this guy named Steve. He was FULL of photography knowledge. He owns his own studio here in town and also works for a sports magazine and shoots all the home Panther's games for them. He had some amazing shots! I am so overwhelmed with all that I learned from him. We met up at a Starbuck's here in town and had a 2 1/2 hour tutoring session. We went over everything from ISO, shutter speed, aperture to complex photoshop stuff. Hopefully it all will stick in my brain and I can put some of it to use very soon. I had an e-mail when I got home tonight from a girl who got my name through a friend. She just had a baby and wants me to do a session with her. AHHHH...that is so exciting! I have been wanting to do a newborn session for a long time now. I can put some of the things I learned tonight to use!! As I promised Steve tonight.....no more shooting in AUTO!!! =)
